Soccer is just not good. Yes my son plays it, but he's five, so he really doesn't undersand that it's bad yet. He's just out there running around, kicking a ball. If some of these folks would spend one tenth the effort they spend trying to cram a not good sport down America's throat, we could have some rockin' Youth Kickball Leagues.

I'm still amazed that Robert Ziegler is amazed that so many American soccer fans are liberal. Where did you think the phrase "soccer mom" came from, the sky?

I'm not a Steelers fan, but this book has an interesting section on the tension between soccer and football in the old Italian and Polish neighborhoods during the 40's and 50's.
