Liberals Don't Upset Me

LEFTISTS, On The Other Hand...

What can I say? Forsake The Troops

Here's the deal, I'm not going to say anything directly about this site. Seriously, why should I? Can't you all just fill in the frikkin' blanks on this one?

But what I'm going to say is this: I believe there is a dividing line between "liberals" and leftists.

A liberal might support..National Health Care. He might support withdrawing from Iraq, and have opposed going in in the first place. I'm personally none to thrilled with being there myself, but not for the classic liberal reasons. It's the leftist that throw stones at those who serve our country.

Dick Gephardt is a liberal; he wouldn't be down with this site.
I doubt Ken Salazar, or Joe Biden or even Bill Clinton would be down. I know what Clinton was doing in the Sixties, but I honestly believe everything he's ever done has been to either get votes or get chicks. And even Kucinich, the one with the Dept. Of Peace, even he I don't think would subscribe to this site. He seems more of the dopey-go-lucky version of a hippie, not the throw blood on servicemen type.

Hillary would be down. So would Boxer and Feinstein. Cynthia McKinney would be there too.

So this is the line; the line between liberal and leftist. Now this is the part where Joe Blogger calls on his readers to flood the site and give them what for.

I'm not going to do that.

I don't care if my devoted reader is upset. I'd have a stroke if the folks who think like me don't have conniption fits. I want the liberals who stop by to let me know they're not leftists. I want the folks who blog and would vote for Kerry to say, "Hey..this is just sickening. These people are whackjobs and wrong, and I don't want to be associated with them." I don't think that's much to ask.

That is all.

Hey. Your comments about that website are right on. It is disgusting, and counterproductive. Makes me even suspicious. Yes, I am a liberal, but not a leftist as you define one. Do you believe in rugged free enterprise? Do you believe in cradle to the grave security? Can one believe in both? I do; I do; and I can. Can you respect, even love, our military people, soldiers, sailors, Marines, aviators, people in the uniform of our country, and still believe that those people can be misused by being sent to the wrong war? That is all some of us say. Where do you stand on "torture?" jack

The worst thing -- of those people you divided into liberals and leftists, the leftists are the ones currently in power!

If that's what a Leftist is - then I'm not one of them. I got sick when I heard that some people spat on the soldiers when they returned from Vietnam war. I shake my head in shame when I hear protesters that "protest for peace" and then throw things at the police and cause a violent uproar. Hippie leftists are against all wars. I'm not. I believe that some wars are necessary. For example, when we went into Afghanistan, I fully supported Bush. WWII was also a very, very necessary war, and one that I passionately support the most. I'm not a vegitarian, and I'm not into saving the lives of fish (that we eat). Hey, I like fish too much! :)

Leftists also don't support our military. I do even though some of them disgust me. Leftist may be Clinton fans. I am not.

Lastly, I voted for Kerry. Not because I think he's the best president ever. But I felt that he would be better than Bush. Oh and another reason why I don't call myself a Leftist is because I don't break out into hysterics and constantly complain all the time. I make the best of my life here - whether I like what's going on in our country or not.

I'm a liberal, not a leftist. I support our troops, but not the war. I support the democratic party in as far as the representatives stick to the real issues and not the popular trend. I do not like it when the dems go against there own party stances just to be on the opposite side of the republicans. I also do not vote party line.

Anyone who discraces another human-being, whether it be a soldier, a politician, a janitor at McDonalds, because they do not believe in what their higher-ups are doing, is not a good person. If you have a problem with someone for doing there job then you need to talk to the people in charge. The soldiers are there in Iraq because the United States of America sent them there. Not because they went to Wall-Mart, bought a gun and flew over to Iraq to start demolishing there country.

People, especially when it comes to politics really make me mad!

I'm hearing that this site is actually a spoof set up by a white supremacist group to make the Left look even worse than it really is. I won't vouch for this blog as a source, but check out True or Better.

Forsake The Troops is real, sincere, and above all RIGHT!

I am proud to be the founder and webmaster.

Come by to see a photo of a cowardly soldier being carried off the battlefield like the punk he is.

SIMPER CRY!

Tom,

Can you explain why Hilary Clinton is a leftist as opposed to a liberal? I, personally, haven't come across any examples of her trying to throw blood on the troops, demonize President Bush, come up with a cabalistic conspiracy theory about sinister neocons participating in satanic rituals and plotting to take over the earth, or any of the things that piss me off about your so-called 'leftists'. I'm open to argument, but I like Hilary (at least since she's been in the senate -- I'm sure all the Liberals you mentioned said some pretty weird things before they were in public office) and if you're going to change my mind about her, you're going to need to do more than name calling.

Oh, and Michael Crook failed to convince me that Forsake the Troops is sincere. There's a scene in Minority Report, where there's just too many pictures of little kids scattered about for the intelligent cops to believe that it's not a set-up. Such an orgy of evidence, rather than pointing toward a clear cut case, smells, to me, like a rat. On the outside chance that they are (incredibly stupid) leftists, this pro-choice, gay-marriage encouraging, socialist Christian finds them reprehensible. There are very intelligent leftists, and I think that Tom should pick on people his own size (intellectually speaking, of course). Its not very Christian to be a bully.
